PABLO TORRE WILL EXPLODE BARCELONA! That’s why he’s a top signing for Xavi and Barça!
Who’s Pablo Torre?
Moving on to the actual story of the new Barcelona representative. Pablo Torre was born on April 3, 2003 in the Spanish city of Soto de la Marina. Pablo’s dad – Esteban Torre was also a footballer once, but he did not achieve much success during his career span. In his list of his clubs one can see “Racing”, “Toledo”, “Universidad de las Palmas” – not that big deals, wouldn’t you agree?
Last season, Torre made 31 appearances in Segunda, managed to score ten goals and delivered nine assists. Decent stats for an 18-year-old kid from Racing, right? In addition to playing for the team, Pablo was invited to the Spanish U19 national team. With Furija Roja, Torre had managed to seal three goals in eight games.
“I am a player that likes to be in contact with the ball, I don’t like to not have it so we will try to get it back quickly,” – here’s what Pablo notes about his on pitch preferences. Seems like a perfect candidate for Xavi’s version of Barcelona!
Interestingly enough, Xavi probably played a key role in Pablo’s decision. “Yes, he called me, obviously it surprised me that someone like Xavi knew so much about me. He explained the project and what he wanted from me and I am delighted to be here,” – Torre shared after the completion of the deal.
According to the press, both Barcelona and Real Madrid monitored the talent’s progress. At some point, rumors circulated that in a conversation with Pablo, Xavi gave examples of how players of his position moved to Los Blancos, and did no good there.
Pablo is not so tall – only 1,73 m. On the pitch he occupies the position of attacking midfielder. Fans are already seeing a new Pedri in him, sincerely believing that the kid has what it takes to realize his potential and improve his skills in more than a club!
