  1. Juls is right about Mane. Think the gap between them 2 top teams will be greater than 1 point this time. Chelsea and Spurs are still going to bring in more quality before the end of the window. Like what Conte is doing: Perisic and Bissouma – good signings.

  2. Liverpool has got konate van dijk and matip in defence and Man city have stones Dias and laporte they have pretty good defence and now they are adding to their attack for more goals

  3. Liverpool need to replace Mane and Salah, ASAP. They're in decline, they're not going to get better. Anthony would have been a good swap for Salah.

  4. As an LFC supporter I can't help but be concerned about the loss of Sadio. He was the heart and soul of our attack and we can't just expect Darwin to fill that gap. Also if Salah's form at the end of last season continues (which I highly doubt) then we need to be doubly concerned.

  5. Context is important folks. If Mane goes, then it hugely weakens Liverpool. Nunez might be a good player but he is certainly no Mane right now.

PS : If Chelsea replace their players then I can imagine them being right up there too as I don’t see them having another season where their key players suffer long term injuries again along with off the field sanctions.

  6. Darwin is not signed to replace Mane. We already have players to replace Mane called Diaz and Jota. Darwin is signed to give a different option for Liverpool, especially Origi is leaving. We don't have an out and out striker since Torres

  7. Erling Haaland was not signed by Chelsea because of ownership saga. Why didn't they go for Nunez? They should now try to sign Lewandowski.

  8. We will miss Mane for sure esp his work rate and goals. However he was finished as a winger and not clinical enough as a striker.

  9. Bruh can we just stop putting Haaland and Nunez and the same basket, like for real … Haaland is a future Balon dor in the same league with Mbape, this Nunez guy who appeared just last season is nothing more than pure hype. Just like when all the Man United fanboys were saying oh Bruno is so much better than DeBruyne shame on u for ever comparing Bruno with DeBruyne and shame on u for comparing Haaland to this guy

  10. Jules makes a great point. It has to be hard for Liverpool supporters to look at what's happening and think they're going to overhaul City. Liverpool played EVERY GAME available to them last season and had one of — if not the best — squads they've ever had and they still lost the league by one point and bottled the UCL final as favorites. Signing Nunez is great, but losing Mane is equally as awful. How in the world are they supposed to get over the line? And let's not forget, the glaring deficiency in CIty's lineup was a lack of a striker. The City team is arguably made SIGNIFICANTLY better with his addition, not only because of his quality, but because he fills a role they didn't have before.

It seems as though the season comes down to City having injuries or not. If they do, it opens a window for Liverpool. If they don't, Liverpool fall short. How many times has it happened now? I just can't see Liverpool really being able to overhaul CIty if they lose Mane and/or they don't strengthen significantly in other areas. They need a KDB in midfield, badly. Or a player like Gavi (who they're not going to get) who can do some ridiculous things and is only going to get better.

  11. with this 2 players, Liverpool & Man City will go down next season! Chelsea will be the Champion next season! Chelsea is currently doing thing quietly in the transfer activity.

  12. I’m not a Liverpool fan but I’m betting this guy to impress and shut a few mouths. He is truly a brilliant prospect for the future and he’s considering with less pressure than Haaland to prove a point.

  13. People are ignoring what a huge impact the WC break is going to have. It takes place when City have peaked the last 2 seasons. Injuries are going to play a bug roll.
